I recently read 'Father Joe' by Tony Hendra. It was a poignant account of a kind of holy life that touches many people by staying put. I think though that the Washington Post reviewer put his finger rather tellingly on what might be a weakness in the way that the story is told. "
It is a book for men who think of themselves as trapped, misunderstood geniuses, so it should sell well."
